Refinishing your pine floor can be one of the most important tasks this spring, because the transformation of your room is guaranteed!
The beloved Liedags café will welcome guests with beautiful changes
The owner of the café “Liedags” in Tuy, Janis, entrusted us with his pet and he was not wrong! The café floor had understandably worn down over time. The colour of the pine planks had long since disappeared, the protective layer was worn away and small heels were embedded in the soft wood. Our craftsmen fixed it all up and the result will bring more than one pleasant compliment to the host from regulars and new guests.
Restore and protect your tree
Refinishing a pine plank floor requires as much care and skill as refinishing any other wooden flooring material. We choose professional abrasives and finishing materials that help achieve high-quality results:
- We sanded the top layer of the pine plank floor first in the centre with a large sander;
- Sand the perimeter of the floor with a small edging machine;
- We polished and prepared the top layer of wood;
- We applied 3 coats of a two-component water-based polyurethane varnish, which has a high abrasion resistance.
Now the café floor can accommodate the delicate heels of ladies, the crumbs of children’s sand cakes, and the sharp overbites of four-legged guests without a fuss. Sanding, polishing and applying a protective coating to the pine floor has been a success and will reduce the hassle of daily cleaning. This also prolongs the life and appearance of the floor.
